Introduction to EEE department:

The Department of Electrical Engineering has been functioning from 1997. It offers a diploma program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering since its inception. Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering course duration is 3 years. The 3 years duration is divided into 6 semesters, with each semester lasting a duration of 6 months. Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a branch of Engineering that deals with concepts related to electricity and electric machinery such as generation, transmission and use of electricity, electromagnetism, equipment like generator, transformers, alternating current, direct current, circuits and networks, control systems etc., This Department houses laboratory with highly safe and neat infrastructure and at the same time has an extensive collection of different types of AC and DC machines in excellent working condition. The measurement gadgets Ammeter, Voltmeter, Wattmeter, PF meter, Single phase and three phase energy meter, Tachometer etc., Software facilities like Electrical CAD, MATLAB, PSPICE etc.,  are readily available. The students can avail them at any time. The Department of Electrical Engineering, with well-qualified and experienced faculty, technical staff and students, is committed to excel in Electrical Engineering through education. More than 1200 students have completed their Diploma from this department. This prestigious Department has been continuously produced State rank holders and College toppers.

  1. Principal electrical engineer: A principal electrical engineer serves as a project manager for electrical-related building or construction projects. In this role, your job duties may include designing electrical devices, ensuring proper installation, inspecting completed electrical work, and providing work estimates. These are good opportunities for you if you complete a diploma in electrical engineering.

  2. Electrical distribution designer: The primary responsibilities of electrical distribution engineers involve the design and maintenance of electrical distribution systems. They also need to interface with vendors, utility companies, consultants, and external contractors to oversee installations and equipment maintenance.

  3. Aerospace electrical engineer: After completion of diploma electrical engineering you can also work in the aerospace industry. You can get involved in many diverse activities like designing the interface that transfers electricity from the engine to the aircraft to designing and operating board-computers, guidance systems, communication systems and networks, radar and ground stations. These jobs have high demand with good package of the salary.

  4. Electrical control engineer: Electrical control engineers need to design, develop, and supervise all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. They are also responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.

  5. Electrical project engineer: They have to design, develop, and control the electrical systems used in a particular project. You can also work in the various industries and should demonstrate a sound understanding of all the project’s electrical requirements
